Kevin Sinnott is author of The Art and Craft of Coffee. Threatened by a client for taking twenty minutes to brew coffee, he wrote an newsletter that reviewed coffee gear, and his client sent it to USA TODAY. He went to appear on Oprah and write two books. Realizing that poorly made coffee loses all value, no matter how well it's grown, cultivated and roasted, he envisioned CoffeeCon to share and teach coffee brewing as a culinary art that must be taught hands-on. CoffeeCon began in Chicago in 2011 and has grown to be a traveling national event. In his spare time, Sinnott writes reviews for Consumer Digest Magazine and his own review blog, CoffeeCompanion.com. He lives in Chicago.
