The Government Contracting SBDC is hosting this first informative free networking breakfast of 2013 for our clients and interested guests. First, we'll have two informative speakers on a couple of important topics. Following this, we'll have networking opportunities for participants. You will have a chance to network with numerous other businesses, service organizations and government agencies.

Ewing Engineered Solutions
Mr. Phil Hawley, President of Ewing Engineered Solutions, a value-added wholesale distributor of wireless communications systems and energy-efficient lighting systems in Allen TX, has been a SBDC client since 2005. Over the past five years, his company has quadrupled revenues from $4,000,000 to $16,000,000. Mr. Hawley will be speaking on the roller coaster world of business and how SBDC played a key role in his success.
Paul P. Stone
Small Business Administration (SBA)
Paul Stone is a Procurement Analyst at the SBA. He is responsible for assisting small business firms in the North Texas Area on how to do business with the Federal Government. Stone has served 12 years as the Resident PCR at the Army Corps of Engineers, Ft. Worth District. In addition to his liaison obligations with GSA's Region VII, Fort Hood, he serves many Federal agencies in Arkansas. As a PCR, Stone reviews government procurements as an advocate on behalf of small businesses.
Stone has worked for SBA for over 25 years and has been numerously recognized for his outstanding achievements. Most recently he was given the Administrator's Champion Award for his contribution in streamlining the 8(a) certification process. Stone was recently acknowledged by the Society of American Military Engineers (S.A.M.E.) as the SBA 2011 Small Business Advocate for support to the DOD Small Business Program. Stone started his government career with the U.S. Department of Energy predecessor, the Federal Energy Administration. During the Arab oil embargo, he served as an administrator in its Public Affairs and Press Office. Stone has also worked as an accountant in the private sector for Fortune 500 companies. He and his family started two successful small businesses in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Paul lives and is active in his community of Flower Mound, Texas.
