Coding Bootcamp: Ruby on Rails with Dan Pickett of Launch Academy
Want to learn how to develop web apps? Ruby on Rails makes it easy & fun! Join us for this two day Ruby on Rails workshop at the i-lab. Friday night, We'll get Ruby and Rails installed on your machine and give you a tour of the framework. On Saturday, we'll learn by building and by the time you leave, you'll have written a working web application in what is arguably the programming language of choice for startups!
If you want to learn how to build web applications with Rails, this is a great introduction on how to build great software for the web.
Open to all full-time, degree-seeking Harvard students. No prior development experience required, but you will need a laptop running MacOS or Linux.
Friday: 6:30 - 9:30pm (dinner provided)
Saturday 10:30am - 5:30pm (lunch provided)
Note that the workshop builds on itself so you'll need to attend Friday in order to participate on Saturday.
We check all attendee registrations at the door. Please bring a printed or smartphone copy of your EventBrite registration and Harvard student ID if you have registered as a Harvard Student. Attendance will be limited to registered guests and tickets will not be available at the door.
