$11,000 CASH AWARDS

Code for the Kingdom is a weekend hackathon for techies, designers, and entrepreneurial starters. Using technology, we tackle from a Christian perspective the challenges confronting our society, our churches, and our spiritual lives.

The official challenges have been announced. YOU CAN START WORKING NOW!!!

Social Justice Challenges

Fatherlessness

How can technology help alleviate and/or combat the effects of fatherlessness in a child’s life, in turn strengthening families, reducing poverty and crime?

Human Trafficking

How can an individual, a family, a ministry, or the Crowd  fight technologies used by human traffickers with Technology  for Good? How can we knock off a small corner of Darkness?

Poverty

What if Crowdsourcing, and in particular Impact Sourcing, could be leveraged by the Church and Christian non-profits to bring jobs to the poor?

Spiritual Formation Challenges

Prayer

How can we activate 21st century believers to pray more often, deep and informed?

Love, Connect, Grow, Serve

How can technology equip and empower people to know how God has wired them and then connect them to kingdom opportunities?

Relationships

How can we use technology to build deeper relationships in a way that weaves true connectedness into the routine of life?

Children

How can technology bring the word of God to the mobile first generation of children?

Stronger & Healthier Ministries Challenges

Generosity Challenge 1

Creative Process for Worship and Ministry

How can technology provide a solution that allows pastors and teams to collaborate across all phases of the creative process

Engaging and releasing the best of an individual

How do we leverage technology within our local church and/or network of churches to release and accelerate great ideas from every member of the congregation?

Join an incredible GROUP  of individuals who are applying their skills and experiences to advance common good and serve God’s Kingdom. In collaboration with innovative nonprofits and churches, we’ll write code and create technology to help release the oppressed, teach God’s Word, heal the sick, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and support the church and the body of Christ. Make a difference by writing much-needed code or designing beautiful interfaces. Find a community of peers who want to have fun while serving the Lord.

Leadership Network

Leadership Network was created in 1984 from the close collaboration between Bob Buford and Peter Drucker to foster innovative movements among churches that active the broader church for greater impact.

Believing that meaningful conversations and connections can change the world, Leadership Network seeks to help leaders of innovation navigate the future by exploring new ideas together to find application to their own unique contexts. Through collaborative meetings and processes these leaders map future possibilities and challenge one another to action that leads to results.

Through our gatherings, publications, books and online experiences we share the learnings and inspiration to others and surface new conversations worthy of exploration.

Leadership Network is a Dallas, Texas, based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Its global ministry includes programs around the world.
