Coccoloba Native Plant Hunts on C20/20 Props-Hickey's Creek Mitigation Park
Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (EDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Take a trip on the wild side!
Join Florida Native Plant Society members on a scavenger hunt in various Conservation 20/20 properties. Working off a species list, we will try to find various plants and wildflowers in their natural environment. Besides having fun, participants will learn more about native plants and generally feel better from their "forest bathing" experience.
Although this event is free to both FNPS members and non-members, we ask that you register, as there is a limit to the number of field trip participants we can accommodate. Please also note that there may be parking or entrance fees on some of these events.
Please bring water, wear sunscreen and bring a hat. Insect repellent might be necessary, too.
For more information, please contact Marlene Rodak at (239) 273-8945.
Rain date: Tuesday, August 19th at 9 am.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FIELD TRIP IS FREE, BUT
HICKEY'S CREEK MITIGATION PARK CHARGES $1 PER HOUR/$5 PER DAY PARKING FEE.
(A Lee County Parks pass covers the fee)
