San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Acterra and the City of Menlo Park are hosting volunteers for Coastal Cleanup Day at San Francisquito Creek! This annual events brings communities together throughout the state to clean California's beaches, lakes and watersheds. Join us as we remove trash and recyclables from our local watershed to celebrate and enhance our beautiful waterways.
What to bring: Please wear appropriate attire for working outdoors - long pants and sturdy shoes are highly recommended. Please "Bring Your Own (BYO)" buckets, gloves, and reusable water bottles to help reduce our footprint at the event. (But don't worry, there will be extras available if you don't have them.)
Waiver Form and Minors: Everyone who joins us for Coastal Cleanup Day is required to sign a waiver form. Although there will be waiver forms on site, you can print and sign the waiver form now to expedite check in. All volunteers under the age of 18 must have the waiver form signed by a parent or legal guardian before participating in a cleanup. Waiver forms are available in English and Spanish. Please note that volunteers will be spreading out over a large area of creek, therefore youth should be accompanied by a responsible adult. Hazards typically encountered in the creek include poison oak, sharp objects, and deep pools of water.
Note: You do not need to bring a printed Eventbrite ticket.
