CNF is a non-profit focused on life enrichment and career development with a mission to engage under-served and high-potential youth (ages 14-25) and veterans (ages 21-30) with successful projects by providing the proper tools, network, and development opportunities.
CNF accepts high school sophomores and juniors in its program through its partnership high schools in New York City and Washington, D.C. At the moment, the nonprofit maintains three cohorts with over 65 Fellowship Scholars. A few of the Fellowship Scholars are highlighted in this short clip; several of the Fellows are enrolled in undergraduate studies at prestige collegiate institutions and many of the senior class high school Fellows have received acceptance to top educational institutions.
Since 2011 the Fellows have participated in corporate tours and created/pitched presentations to corporations such as Google, Goldman Sachs, Nike, LinkedIn, Morgan Stanley, HBO, Microsoft, Essence Magazine, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Hughes Hubbard Reed LLP, Bloomberg, FOX News, BET, and NBC Studios to name a few; pertaining to solving concerning matters that affect their high schools.
The Fellowship Scholars are paired with a Mentor through CNF’s Mentorship Program and have secured paid internships at top start-ups, science and medical institutions through the organization’s internship program.
The career and college preparatory workshops are held throughout the year and educate over 250 high school students in the Washington, D.C and New York City Metropolitan area.
