CME Guided Tour

PQFC is pleased to announce the exciting event of visiting Chicago Merchant Exchange (CME). A group guided tour has been reserved and confirmed by CME. Spaces are limited to 50 and available on a first come first served basis. Participants have the opportunity to overview one of the biggest financial exahange in the world and a bird's eye view of Open Outcry trading floor. The duration of the tour is approximately 45 minutes to one hour in length. Besides, participants have the option for a Thanksgivng shopping in Chicago.
The CME tour itself is free. However, participant need to share the gas and parking. PQFC does not provid food or drink. Participants are also expect to bring their own food or buy in Chicago. Extra money may be needed if you plan a after tour shopping.
The form of transportation is carpooling. If you can share your car, please indicate so and how many passengers you can accomodate.
Groups arriving by bus should be dropped off at our South entrance at Van Buren and LaSalle. Handicap accessible entrances are located on the East [Plaza] or West [Financial Place] sides of the building.
Upon entering the building, your group must wait in the stanchioned area in the South lobby while a representative checks in with the Lobby Security Desk. Groups should check-in with lobby security no earlier and no later than 10 minutes prior to the scheduled tour appointment , and ONLY when your entire group has arrived. Due to the heavy volume of traffic within our lobby, any groups that check in earlier than the above stated timeframe will be asked to leave the building, and return only when your tour is scheduled to begin.
The Chicago Board of Trade building is a secure facility. Prior to entry into the Visitor Gallery, all guests, as well as any bags or personal items are subject to security screening with metal detectors and x-ray machines. In order to significantly reduce the time constraints of this process, please have guests leave all non-essential items on your bus, at your hotel, or at other appropriate locations prior to entering the building. We do not have holding areas for guests’ items.
NO FOOD OR DRINK IS ALLOWED. THE USE OF CAMERAS, VIDEOCAMERAS, AND CELL PHONES IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED IN THE 5 TH FLOOR VISITOR GALLERY.
