CloudCamp Chicago - FinTech
Monday, October 20, 2014 at 5:00 PM (CDT)
For the October event, we're looking to pair up with a fintech group in the making in Chicago. The event, slotted for either October 20 or 27, will be an afterwork event with a big-name keynote (details coming soon!) and separate streams of interactive talks and lively interaction.
CloudCamp Chicago is going to be one of those streams! For our part, we'll continue the CloudCamp traditions of short lightning talks, the "unpanel" with audience participation and questions, and small breakout clusters around beers and pizza. Themes we'll likely cover: security for both customers and enterprises; managing growing mountains of data; using cloud in fintech from mobile banking to trading.

As always, the unconference is vendor-neutral. As a community, we hope to create a fun and open environment to educate and discuss cloud computing.
We keep vendor sales pitches to a minimum by giving the audience 'red cards' - if you don't like what the speakers are saying send them off!

When & Where
CloudCamp is an 'unconference' where networking, dev/ops, IT pros and cloud users gather to discuss cloud technologies over pizzas and beers.
CloudCamp is a common ground to learn and share cloud computing knowledge. Attendees are encouraged to share thoughts in open discussions, un-panels, Q&A, and short talks. We keep vendor sales pitches to a minimum by giving the audience 'red cards' - if you don't like what the speakers are saying send them off!
CloudCamp regulars include networking, dev/ops, IT pros and cloud users from VMware, user groups, IBM, CDW, startups, Salesforce, local universities, and myriad smaller Cloud users and enthusiasts. www.cloudcamp.org
