Cloud Security Alliance Boston Chapter Meeting!
The security of private, public, and hybrid cloud environments is critical. The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to promote the use of best practices for providing security assurance within Cloud Computing, and to provide education on the uses of Cloud Computing to help secure all other forms of computing.
The Boston Chapter of the Cloud Security Alliance has relaunched! With a new board, new ideas, and our first meeting. We are kicking off this new and energized chapter by hosting regular meetings in the Boston area. Come and learn what the CSA is all about and how you can get involved.

Compliance in the Cloud - Is it possible to demonstrate security and compliance of a cloud-based environment? What are the differences vs. securing and assessing a traditional environment? In this talk we will discuss the challenges of being able to demonstrate compliance in a public, private, and hybrid cloud environment.

How do your mobile apps behave in the cloud? - Cloud computing has transformed how applications and data are delivered. Mobile computing has transformed how people consume applications and data. Mobile apps are becoming more reliant on cloud services. But what level of risk is being introduced? How would risky app behaviors impact cloud security? What common services are mobile apps using? What risky behaviors do these apps exhibit? We will examine these questions with some real-world examples.
