Earth Day 2013 Creeks Challenge at Wildcat Creek
Where: Wildcat Creek-Verde Elementary School, 2000 Giaramita St Richmond, CA 94801
EBRPD Wildcat Staging Area, Richmond Parkway between Getrude and Pittsburg Avenue
When: Saturday April 20th, 2013, 9:00 a.m-12:30 p.m
Celebrate this Earth Day by taking care of Wildcat Creek!
Join us to pick up litter/debris and inventory the types of trash that is contributing to the pollution of Wildcat Creek. The information that will be collected during this event will be used to inform policy makers and city officials about the types of pollutants most commonly found in the creek. Meet at Verde Elementary School, 2000 Giaramita St, Richmond or at the Wildcat Creek staging area located at Richmond Parkway between Pittsburg and Gertrude Avenue.
FREE refreshments will be provided for nourishment as you work hard to clean up our coastal environment!
-We will provide tools and gloves. If you have your own pair of gloves and a bucket, please bring them so everyone gets a chance to pitch in.
-Bring your own reusable water bottle.
-Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy closed-toe shoes.
-Let us know if your party has multiple people
-Children MUST be accompanied by an adult.
