Kathleen Duffy, LPN, CCAP/I is a medical herbalist, a nurse, and an international trainer and consultant on the integration of clinical aromatherapy into medically-based organizations. She is certified as a clinical aromatherapy practitioner and is also a certified instructor. Kathleen has worked with interdisciplinary staff and a variety of institutions around the world, helping to integrate the safe and skilled use of clinical aromatherapy into practice. She is highly regarded as a medical herbalist and aromatherapy practitioner, has been on radio shows, is a published author, and owns The Herbarium located in Chicopee, MA.
Dr. Tina Champagne is a renowned international consultant, the owner of Champagne Conferences & Consultation, and the program director for Cutchins Programs for Children and Families in Northampton MA. She is an expert in sensory processing, trauma and attachment informed care, and works with a variety of mental health, professional and educational organizations on state, national and international scales. Dr. Champagne has numerous publications, has participated in published research related to topics reviewed, and has received a variety of awards for her work. She is certified in sensory processing and a variety of therapeutic modalities, including clinical aromatherapy.
Clinical aromatherapy is the skilled and safe use of 100% essential oils for specific therapeutic purposes. This two-day introductory level workshop is designed for licensed interdisciplinary professionals working with populations with mental health symptoms and challenges across the lifespan. Participants will be introduced to a specific group of essential oils often used with mental health populations, and the existing evidence, safety considerations, and application guidelines, to help you to incorporate the use of essential oils into daily practice. Additionally, how to help incorporate the use of clinical aromatherapy into your workplace will also be explored. Lecture and experiential lab sessions will be used. All lab materials needed are covered in the cost of the training and will be provided on day one of the workshop. Lab supplies will include: essential oils, carrier oil, & related supplies.

Upon completion of the workshop participants will be able to:
Differentiate between the varied types of aromatherapy approaches
Recognize the core safety considerations for using essential oils
Understand the chemical basis for the effectiveness of essential oils
Identify different ways to utilize clinical aromatherapy with individuals across the lifespan
Identify a variety of ways to integrate the use of clinical aromatherapy into practice
Recognize key elements to include when creating programming, policies and procedures for the use of clinical aromatherapy in organizations

Group Discounts: Groups must register together to obtain the group rates unless otherwise authorized. Groups of 2-5 receive a $20.00/person discount. Groups of 6 or more receive a $50.00/person discount.
NOTE: Maximum combined discount limit per person for any course is $75.00 off of the regular tuition amount of $349.00 per person.
Course Credit: All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance with contact hours indicating the number of hours in actual attendance. The maximum number of earned contact hours for this workshop is: 14 contact hours.
Course timeframes and breaks: Each day course registration/sign in begins at 8:30 am. Courses begin promptly at 9:00 AM and adjourn each day at 5:00 PM. There is a one- hour lunch break and two 15-minute breaks each day.
Food: Snacks and drinks are provided, lunch is on your own.
All cancellations must be in writing, including the reason for cancelling, and must be received by Champagne Conferences & Consultation (CCC) at least three weeks prior to the course; no compensation will be granted after that date. If the cancellation meets the three-week deadline, the registrant may choose a refund or a transfer credit, minus a $75 processing fee, to be issued following the program. A transfer credit may be applied toward another CCC course within two years of the issue date.
Champagne Conferences & Consultation reserves the right to cancel any course with due cause and refund in full. Participants purchasing NON-refundable airfare tickets should verify course availability before final purchase. Weather and/or transportation difficulties are not the responsibility of the workshop sponsor, CCC, and failure of a chosen means of transportation is not grounds for tuition refund.
