“Clear” the Decks for Dodd-Frank: Symposium on FCM Clearing and Capital Mgt

Recent highly public failures by Futures Commission Merchants (FCMs) has led many to question previously held beliefs on how secure client funds are with their FCM. This symposium will examine key aspects of exchange clearing models. The role of the FCM and best practices to protect yourself and the options for effective optimization of capital deployed by your organization to support clearing operations will be explored.
Experts from the industry will present on best practices for your organization. At the end of the Symposium you will walk away able to apply best practices in:
- Choosing the right FCM or FCMs
- Ongoing monitoring of your FCM
- What to do when things go bad with your FCM
- The regulatory environment of FCMs, including Dodd-Frank and other recent regulatory actions that impact your organization.
CCRO Refund and Cancellation Policy
Refunds or credit for a future CCRO course offering will be issued for cancellations made within five days of the initial booking. A $50.00 administrative fee will be assessed. No refund will be issued after the five-day grace period. Credit for a future CCRO offering will be valid for 12 months from the date of issuance. The CCRO is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. Conference participants may earn up to 11.0 CPE credits in specialized knowledge and applications in a field of study. (Beginner Level, Group Live –no prior preparation required) There are no prerequisites for the Symposium.
