Fowler School of Law Alumni Advisory Board and Alumni Association for a MCLE class on Thursday, July 31 at 6:00 p.m. in Room 237A at the Fowler School of Law on Cost Effective Legal Research for the Solo and Small Firm. Our presenter will be Brendan Starkey, Esq. from the Chapman Law Library, and he will be explaining how to use strategic search techniques to get to the research materials you need while being the most efficient with your time and costs. Whatever your practice, you are welcome to attend for a refresher course on legal research techniques. Light refreshments will be served. There is no cost to attend. Attendance is limited to Chapman University Fowler School of Law alumni only.
Brendan Starkey is the Associate Director for Library Services at the law library at the Chapman University Fowler School of Law. Brendan received his Master of Library and Information Sciences (MLIS) from the University of Kentucky and his Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. Brendan practiced for several years with DLA Piper LLP (US) and also worked as a librarian for Irell and Manella LLP. He started his career in law librarianship at Whittier Law School and has worked at the Seattle University Law Library and most recently at the University of California, Irvine School of Law law library before joining Chapman in October 2013.
