Bar Tartine is hosting the first fund-raising event for the Conductive Learning Center of San Francisco, a non-profit school co-founded by Elisabeth Prueitt of Tartine Bakery. CLCSF was founded for children with cerebral palsy, spina bifida and other motor challenges, which integrates medical knowledge with educational methods to enable the child to gain independence. Conductive Education builds confidence, self-esteem, and provides problem-solving skills for daily activities. CLCSF will open this fall.

Conductive Education combines academic and physical education to create a unique learning environment for the child with cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and other motor challenges, giving them enthusiasm for learning, and tools to do things they never thought possible.
