Neil will teach everything you need to know about working with porcelain using throwing and hand building techniques. Topics will include the benefits and troubles of working with such a unique clay body, methods for dealing with its shortfalls, and techniques that are best suited for it—like water etching. Neil will also discuss his experiences with opening and operating his commercial studio in Grayslake, IL, and offer tips on kiln repair and maintenance.

2014 Clay3 National Juried Ceramics Exhibition is presented by ClaySpace Ceramic Arts Center, juried from digital submissions by Kurt Wiser.
This juried ceramic show is open to all aritst working in the continental United States. Fuctional and sculptural ceramic art work must be no larger than 12" x 12" x 12", and use 75% of clay as the primary medium.
