Classroom Management: the Key to Every Successful Classroom

with

Harry and Rosemary Wong and Chelonnda Seroyer

The day will feature common sense, research-based, noncontroversial, basic techniques used by effective teachers that cost nothing to implement.

No theory - No platitudes - just dozens and dozens of practical, pragmatic, nononsense and immediately implementable techniques will be shared and demonstrated. You will learn strategies to manage your classroom for student learning and achievement.

Come and see how you can organize space, time and materials so that student learning will take place. Leave with a classroom management plan you can use when school begins. For administrators, come and see how you can create a school with a culture of effective teachers.

Harry and Rosemary Wong are foremost authorities on the effective teacher and among the most sought-after speakers in education.  Harry has presented to more than one million educators and the Wong’s have written the best-selling book, The First Days of Schoolthat has sold more than 3.6 million copies. Harry is a former awardwinning high school science teacher, and recipient of the Horace Mann Outstanding Educator Award. Rosemary is a former elementary school teacher and was one of California’s first mentor teachers.

Chelonnda Seroyer is a high school English teacher who succeeded on her first day of teaching. After four years, she was named Teacherof- the-Year. What she did to succeed can be seen on the DVD, Using The First Days of School, that accompanies the book. Today, she is a much sought after nationally recognized speaker and consultant. Two years ago, she turned a chaotic school around with the second lowest achievement rating in a major urban city in four meetings over the course of a year. She can turn your classroom around in one hour.

Copies of the newest edition of Dr. Wong’s book, The First Day of School: How To Be An Effective Teacher, which includes an enhanced DVD featuring Chelonnda Seroyer, will be available for purchase (cash only).
