Faculty members are in a unique position to influence and assess the behavior of individual students over time. No other employees of the College see students as frequently as classroom faculty. As such, faculty members need to be aware of policies and procedures involving issues of safety and student discipline. This training assists faculty with understanding how to handle potentially difficult or violent situations.
Learn more about the Threat Assessment Committee and University procedures to deal with distressed and disruptive students by participating in this Lunch and Learn workshop. Individual faculty will also be invited to present case examples to workshop presenters and colleagues concerning past or present situations involving distressed and disruptive students.
Registration Deadline is Friday February 22nd, 2013 by 5:00 pm, Complimentary lunch will be served.
