NEXCO is pleased to present this comprehensive one-day seminar on classifying inorganic and organic chemicals in Chapters 28 and 29 of the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS). The seminar will provide guidance for chemical classification, definitions of various chemistry terms necessary for classification, discussion of drugs and medicaments in Chapter 30, and the Pharmaceutical Appendix. It will also briefly discuss classification of polymers in primary form and the HTS changes of 2012.

Our Instructor is Andrea "Andy" Abraham of the law firm, Meeks, Sheppard, Leo & Pillsbury, which specializes in import, export, and international trade law. Ms. Abraham has presented this material to various Fortune 100 companies and trade associations and is the author of two well-recognized books on the subject: "Chemical Customs Classifications Manual" and "Polymers and Rubbers Classifications Manual".
