Description

Would you know what to do if a gunman threatened your workplace, a shopping mall or your church?

The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course is designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend strategy developed by the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT). The course provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event.

Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, the role of professional guardians, civilian response options, and demonstrations and examples of things to do in case of an active shooter event.

This potentially lifesaving program is open to the public and will address what individuals need to know to look out for their individual safety. There is no charge to attend the training sessions, however, please register in advance to ensure seating.

This is one of four trainings that will be offered this fall by the City of Fort Worth, all four cover the same material.

Please note: the presentation contains realistic material and reenactments that some attendees may find graphic in nature. Discretion for sensitive audiences is advised.
