Event Details

Children on the Mend, Inc., a local 501(c) (3) non-profit organization is hosting its 1st Annual Citizens Walking Together Against Violence 5k Walk/Run on March 15, 2014. By bringing together people to confront violence and to promote positive change against violence within our homes and communities.  Proceeds will support our local educational programs, school supplies, college tours, field trips and outreach.

GOAL/MISSION STATEMENT: To foster a community where youth and teens are nurtured, respected, educated, and empowered to become their best as contributing members of society.

Children on the Mend, Inc., a non-profit (501c 3) agency, was founded in 2000 as an intervention and prevention advocacy and mentoring agency for youth and young adults.  We are an all volunteer organization.  Our specialty is caring for young individuals, who have given up on society and life, by providing educational resource referrals, coping skills, and community service.  Our team of volunteers has over thirty years of experience, working with youth/young adults and their families

Additional services include but not limited to informational symposiums, mediation, resource referrals, coping skills, mentoring, public speaking, street outreach and volunteer services.
