Citizen Scientist Workshop

Join a national effort to collect valuable information on plants and wildlife. You don't need to be an expert to join in. Be part of a volunteer effort to record data that is used in scientific studies. This training introduces you to the collection of local ecological information and provides an introduction to Nature’s Notebook. Participants must have access to a computer. Class size limited and registration required.
Class Agenda: Overview of phenology- Importance of phenology observations- Phenophase identification -Selecting a site for observing- Selecting plant and animal species –Recording plant and animal observations -Reporting observations and viewing data using the online database interface.
