The 16th Annual Cinco de Mayo Golf Classic will be held on Friday, May 9th, 2014 at the beautiful Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa Valley. The shotgun tournament will be played on Johnny Miller's newly-designed north course, named the 16th best golf course in California by GolfWeek’s 2012 "Best Courses You Can Play" list and home to the PGA Tour's Frys.com Open. The Golf Classic features a continental breakfast, mid-morning margaritas and breakfast tacos, a raffle, golf prizes, souvenirs and a not-to-be-missed luncheon featuring the delicious Mexican cuisine of Cocina Severiano. The event will be topped off with an auction of golf and wine-related items.

Organized by the Napa Valley Farmworker Committee and Cinco de Mayo Golf, Inc. and made possible through the generous underwriting and longtime support of many individuals, corporations and organizations, the Classic provides funds for a number of vital projects at Napa County’s three publicly owned Farmworker Housing Centers that are not covered in the County’s Farmworker Housing operational budget. These include items such as commercial kitchen equipment, beds, lockers, landscaping supplies, as well as health and social services including work assistance and leadership training. Farmworkers pay $13 per night to stay at the Centers, which includes a shared room and three meals per day except Sunday, hot showers and laundry facilities. Each Center has 60 beds. The Annual Cinco de Mayo Golf Classic is the only fundraising event in Napa Valley to be exclusively dedicated to the needs of farmworkers.
