Cinco de Mayo Flash Mob
Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 11:55 PM (EDT)
Happy Cinco De Mayo! Are you ready to celebrate? The flashmob will take place on 50 MELCHER STREET. This is a secret location, and your GPS will not be able to locate it exactly - but once you get to Melcher street you will be able to find it!
Legendary Restaurant Group’s Mexican kitchen and tequila bar, Papagayo, is hosting its first annual Cinco de Mayo Flash Mob. In celebration of the true meaning of the holiday, Papagayo is paying homage to Mexican heritage – or at least the culinary traditions America has embraced (Margaritas, quesadillas, burritos and guacamole) – and its cause of freedom – the freedom to shake things up a little for its biggest party of the year.
There will be three “seatings” for the Cinco de Mayo Flash Mob – the location of each which will be announced one hour before the party begins. Guests can fear not about planning for travel time, as Papagayo promises the locations will be within a half mile of the Summer Street restaurant.
The celebration is sponsored by Corona, and will feature prize giveaways and live music entertainment spanning from mariachis to a DJ. Entrance price entitles guests to seven tickets towards the purchase of Coronas, Margaritas and food, featuring: specialty appetizers, quesadillas, burritos, and guacamole and chips. Additional tickets can be purchased at the event.
Tickets are $30 per person and include tax and gratuity. Beer and food items “cost” one ticket, while 16 ounce margaritas and tequila shots “cost” two tickets each. Additional tickets will be available for $5.
