THIS SATURDAY! Red Meat Market is proud to announce our Cinco de Mayo butcher and cooking class for the hearty butcher in you!
This May 4th class features a Cinco de Mayo Grass-Fed Bull breakdown complete with fajitas and Margaritas!(once we put the knives away)
Our butcher class includes a cooking demo with trays full of tasty meaty dishes prepared by Chef Ryan Hutmacher of The Centered Chef so you’ll also enjoy lunch on us! Learn knife skills, butchering techniques and how to breakdown the animal carcass into tasty steaks, tenderloins, roasts, etc! These are not just demos but real hands on meat cutting experiences under the supervision and tutelage of our great Master Butchers! Plus you’ll take home juicy meat you just cut! Cinco de Mayo is seen as a day to celebrate the culture, achievements and experiences of people with a Mexican background, who live in the United States. Therefore, our May Cinco de Mayo steer breakdown will be taught by none other than, Maestro Carnicero (Master Butcher), Alberto Sanchez and Juan Carapia Picaso, Cortador de Carne (Meat Cutter) of famed processing and localvore meat hub of SW Wisconsin, Black Earth Meats. El Toro! El Toro! Arriba Arriba Undelay!
CUT, COOK, EAT, AND CARRY! WE’LL PROVIDE EVERYTHING YOU NEED. Each person will go home with 8-10 pounds of personally wrapped cuts which may include a variety of steaks, tenderloin, roasts and more. This class will be held at The Centered Chef Studios (177 N. Ada Street, Chicago), a pristine culinary kitchen and event location with easy access by train or available street parking!
