"Banjos in the Movies" TRT 13minutes - Producer Wyoming Community Media - Singer and songwriter Jalan Crossland is from the small berg of Tensleep, Wyoming.
He was a recent winner of Wyoming Governor Matt Mead's arts awards. Jalan talks about his roots and banjos which are interlaced among banjo playing on the silver screen from 1903 to the present.

Pre-production - scriptwriting, casting, location scouting

Event Development and Implementation
WCM produces the Shoot Out Cheyenne 24 hour film making festival in the fall. The event attracted 21 film making production crews to Downtown Cheyenne. The top 10 films were screened at the Lincoln Theater.
WCM also produces the Cheyenne International Film Festival set to take place at the historic Atlas Theater. Films of all genres from around the world are planned to be screened.
WCM provides training services to students of all ages in Southeast Wyoming and beyond. Training may be on an individual basis or for groups. WCM works closely with local school districts, colleges and universities to develop "hands-on" practical out-of-school learning opportunities in all facets of production, behind and in front of the camera. Student teams produce programs for community TV channels and web streaming and the Shoot Out Cheyenne 24 hour film making festival.
Fiscal Agency - Co-Production - Event Production
Are you working on a movie, digital video, TV, film festival, stage production project and you'd like to do it with non-profit status? WCM sponsors and co-produces projects for individuals or organizations without 501(c)(3) status. Non-profit status provides many benefits: productions be covered under the WCM liability insurance, be eligible for grants from foundations and the government, investors in your project can enjoy a tax exempt donation as allowed by law.* New reative ommunity and economic development
Harry P. Hynds Building New Creative Community Project
WCM is in the process of determining the feasibility of a mixed use commercial and diverse housing project in the long-vacant Hynds Building in Downtown Cheyenne. The 39000 sq ft building will be a civic and commercial space as well as owner occupied cohousing condominiums.
