The Southeast Missouri Regional Arthritis Center (SEMO RAC) at Saint Francis Medical Center will conduct Arthritis Foundation leader training in May for the Chronic Disease Self-Management program.
- Monday, May 6, 8:30 am-2:30 pm
- Tuesday, May 7, 8:30 am-2:30 pm
- Thursday, May 9, 8:30 am-2:30 pm
- Friday, May 10, 8:30 am-2:30 pm
Participants are required to attend all four days of training.
This course trains leaders to organize, teach and conduct the self-management program, “Live Like Your Life Depends on it,” developed by the Stanford University Patient Education Research Center, Stanford, Calif.
To improve participants’ knowledge of living a healthy life with chronic conditions, leaders will be provided with information about issues related to a variety of conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke, asthma, arthritis, emphysema and others.
Certification is good for three years and those needing recertification may attend this training course as well. To register or for more information, call Heidi Dunn at the SEMO RAC, 573-331-5880 or 888-216-3293.
