The Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) in downtown Atlanta has partnered with Entrepreneurs Helping Entrepreneurs (EHE) of Atlanta to launch a new and exciting annual Christmas Market set to premier December 6-8, 2013.
"The Georgia World Congress Center and downtown have had a long history of holiday events and festivals that created lasting memories for the citizens of Atlanta," said Mark Zimmerman, General Manager of the Georgia World Congress Center. "As In-Town neighborhoods reinvent themselves as vibrant, sustainable communities, it is important that we evolve with them and support their efforts. When the last sentence of your mission statement reads, to enhance the quality of life for every Georgian, there is no better place to start than your own backyard."
Entrepreneurs Helping Entrepreneurs is an organization committed to empowering local entrepreneurs with the tools they need to build their businesses. Through a Christmas shopping market within the GWCC, EHE will allow businesses the ability to offer unique and handcrafted holiday gifts to the Atlanta market. "After successfully hosting a Christmas Market at local churches and hotels, we simply needed to grow into a larger facility we could call home," said Koren Conrad, Executive Director of Entrepreneurs Helping Entrepreneurs.
The shopping area will feature items of holiday-themed entertainment and concessions. It is the desire of show management to grow the entertainment factor of the festivities each year and ramp up to an iconic annual holiday tradition, representative of the sizable population of the city. EHE, will deliver holiday spirit to the event in a whimsical way. For a donation, Make-A-Wish volunteers will wrap freshly purchased gifts, adjacent to a FedEx shipping center. Santa will be on hand for photo ops and to accept letters from children. For every hand-written letter, Macy's Department Store will make a cash donation to charity.
