CCC is happy to present a new weekend class on Traditional Chinese Paper Cutting! CCC will offer four sessions per year of Traditional Chinese Paper Cutting Class. For the winter session, there will be 10 weeks of classes..

What is Traditional Chinese Paper Cutting?

Paper Cutting is one of the most popular folk arts in China. The Chinese make paper cuts for celebrations, festivals and home decoration, with the extensive use of red, which is the lucky color in China. It usually has a heavy emphasis on single or a few Chinese characters often symbolizing with the Chinese Zodiac animals.

Class will be held on Saturdays, 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. You can sign up for the entire session, or come on a class-by-class basis. Dates are subjected to changes without notice.

Cost: $250 CCC Members; $300 Non-members. All sales are final, no refunds, no exceptions.

Learn how to cut the stalk and leaves of chrysanthemum, and flowerpot.

Learn how to cut “boy” and/or “girl” figure.
