Chinese Food Fast

There are "Fast Food" then there are foods that are fast. We'll focus on the later in this class of traditional Chinese foods that are a quick bite to eat when your in the hustle and bustle of your day.
We'll get hands in in creating the dishes and we'll all share them at the end of the meal.
Cha Siu - Literally this is "fork roasted" meat and traditionally its made with pork. Its quite a simple process, but the results will astound you. Such a perfect meat to have over rice.
Won Ton Mein - In Hong Kong, won ton mein is not so much about the dumpling as it is about the noodles, which need to have a certain bite or chew to be acceptable. We will show you the folding techniques to make the won tons and of course we'll also talk about the broth.
Shrimp Fried Rice - This dish seems easy enough, but we'll show you the proper technique to make this dish authentic. We'll even add some salted dried fish.
Congee - This porridge appears on almost every Chinese restaurant menu. Usually its make with Preserved Eggs and Lean Pork and often eaten for breakfast with Yao Tew or Chinese Donuts.
Tomato Beef over Rice - With just a few ingredients, this dish can be made in less than 5 minutes. Now thats fast! We'll use the summers great offering of organic tomatoes that add so much flavor to this dish.
Cost is $80. Class begins at 10am and lasts approximately 3 hours.
