San Francisco’s Chinatown is the oldest Chinatown in North America, and hosts the largest Chinese community outside of Asia. As your guide to the densest neighborhood in San Francisco, our knowledgeable docents will navigate and lead tour participants through street mazes to discover the many sides of hidden Chinatown.
"A Tale of Two Chinatowns" Heritage Walking Tour led by the Chinese Culture Center emphasizes heritage and Chinatown as a living, vibrant community through discovering the many stories in Chinatown and within the Chinese American community. The Chinese Culture Center is a non-profit, community-based organization leading tours in Chinatown for over 20 years. As one of our long-standing programs to educate through promoting Chinese culture and heritage, "A Tale of Two Chinatowns" walking tour brings you from the tourist surface to dive deep into the heart of the Chinatown community.
*In order for groups to depart during the weekdays, there needs to be a minimum of 4 in a group or tour will be cancelled. For a guaranteed tour of smaller groups less than 4, consider a private tour or our weekly Saturday tours.

The Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco is a major community-based, non-profit organization established in 1965 to foster the understanding and appreciation of Chinese and Chinese American art, history, and culture in the United States.
In its 45 years of work, CCC has played a pioneering role in introducing Chinese culture to the American public through exhibitions and public programming of a broad spectrum of Chinese traditional and contemporary artistic works in multiple disciplines: Visual Arts, Literature, Music and Theater.
