Chiller 5k & 10k Trail Race
Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 10:00 AM (CST)
Outrun the Cold.
The Chiller is a 5k & 10k Trail Race that will be followed by music, beer, and various hot “adult” beverages to warm your body and your soul.
The course will take you through the cold woods, onto the Des Plaines River Trail, over roots, trees, and rocks, and back to our festival area. Both the 5k and 10k courses are a unique design from the 2012 Chiller and will be more accurately measured! The courses are great for those new to trail running and challenging enough for even the most seasoned trail runner.
The course maps and waivers will be posted here at least one month before the race!
All participants will receive a Chiller quarter zip fleece, a Chiller bib, one free beer or other alcoholic drink, a finisher’s award, free chili, soft drinks, & snacks.
After the race you can revive yourself with free coffee, hot chocolate, “adult” hot chocolate, Irish Coffee, Hot Toddy, or grab a locally crafted beer. Post-race snacks will be provided and there will also be food available for purchase.
NEW in 2013: We will have an UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER CONTEST! Run in your ugliest Christmas sweater and get ready to win some awesome Christmas-themed prizes!
The race will be on Saturday, December 7, 2012. The 10k will begin at 10am and the 5k will begin at 10:15am.
Price schedule is as follows (5k/10k):

When & Where
We love people. We love Chicago. We love trail running. And we love good beer. We thought it would be a good idea to combine them all. Why not, right?
Our goal is to provide Chicagoland with the best possible trail running experience. From the course design to the staff at the aid stations to the beer served at the after party, our #1 goal is for you to have the best time possible.
We are partnering with local small businesses in the Chicagoland area to start a series of trail races beginning in the fall of 2012.
Hope to see you on the trail soon!
