This month Vivian Nash, Jason Kelleher, Lily Be, Scott Whitehair and David Boyle will tell stories that highlight Moms.


About the Performers:

Vivian Nash
Vivian Nash has had careers in education and social work and has written memoir and fiction since she was old enough to hold a pencil. Her appearance in this month's Solo Saturdays is Vivian solo performance debut.

Jason Kelleher
Jason Kelleher has performed his original stories at This Much Is True, Story Lab Chicago, Do Not Submit, Adult Education, Rogers Park Festival, and Speak Easy, Speak Hard. Originally from Galway, Ireland he now lives in the south suburbs.

Lily Be also hosts her own monthly storytelling event called Stoop-Style Stories. It takes place every 4th Thursday of the month at Rosa's Lounge 3420 W Armitage or you can stream live at Gigity.TV/Stoopstylestories


Scott Whitehair

Scott is the co-host and producer of This Much Is True, and creator of Story Lab Chicago. He has told stories anywhere somebody will listen, including The Steppenwolf, Chicago Public Radio, Risk! Podcast, Write Club, Here's the Story, Grown Folks Stories, Story Club, Chicago Slam Works, 2nd Story, Essay Fiesta, and Real Talk Live, to name just a few. Scott is a MothSLAM Chicago winner and Runner-U...p at The 2012 Windy City Story Slam All-City Championships, and has participated in The Printer's Row Lit Festival, Fillet of Solo Festival, Rhino Fest, Chicago Improv Festival, and The Association of Writers & Writing Programs Conference. He is also the producer of The 43rd Annual Chicago's Biggest Liar Contest, Interface, and Adult Education at The Acorn. More information is available at www.scottwhitehair.com

David Boyle
David Boyle is the founder and artistic director of Chicago Solo Theatre and has performed his original stories at Story Lab and This Much Is True and will perform later this month for Essay Fiesta. His 2010 solo play "An Accidental Organist" was recommended by the Chicago Reader's Tony Adler who wrote "The piece as a whole is a well wrought mix of wit, cussedness, close observation and earned emotion."
