Chicago Literati Networking Event
Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (CDT)
New location, same great time...
Writing is a solitary practice, but the process of being published, selling a script, and expanding your name recognition still requires schmoozing. This unique networking event aims to bring the people of Chicago’s literary world together for an evening of mingling, brainstorming, and collaborating.
This is a wonderful opportunity to meet people in the community, swap business cards, and make connections to further their literary career.
Featured attendees include:
Sophie Littlefield - award-winning author of mysteries, YA novels, and women's fiction. Her most recent novel, GARDEN OF STONES, was a Target Pick and RT Book Reviews said, "A story of unspeakable injustice and bitter sacrifice, [GARDEN OF STONES] will leave you shaken."
Molly Each- writer, editor and storyteller. She's currently the Managing Editor at Splash, the Sun-Times' style magazine. She digs the food, style and travel beats, and her work has also appeared in Time Out Chicago, the Chicago Tribune, Daily Candy, Playboy.com, and others. She's currently the director of publishing and a company member with 2nd Story, and thus often be found telling tales at wine bars around the city.
Registration is $15 in advance, $20 at the door. There will be a cash bar with drink specials, appetizers will be served, and the first 30 people to register will receive a swag bag.
