The Chicago tech community is thriving—and for the city’s digital startups, there’s no shortage of local inspiration. Success stories abound—and one of the most popular tickets is the chance to hear the story straight from the mouths of the Founders.
Join us for Chicago Founder Stories at 1871—a monthly, ongoing series inspired by Chris Dixon’s ever-popular Founder Stories on TechCrunch. We’re switching it up a bit, doing our interviews in front of a live audience with GoSoapBox based Q&A, and then posting those discussions online at 1871's website for those who couldn’t make it to the live event. Plus—the beer and pizza is on us.
In May, Pat Ryan is hosting Eric Lunt, Co-Founder of FeedBurner and CTO of BrightTag.
BrightTag is a Chicago-based start-up that aims to give website owners control over how data is collected and shared from their sites. Before joining BrightTag, Eric was co-founder and CTO of FeedBurner, which Google acquired in 2007.
Prior to FeedBurner, Eric co-founded and served as CTO at Spyonit.com (acquired by 724 Solutions), served as lead technical architect at Digital Knowledge Assets (creators of the collaborative personal publishing software "sceneServer"), and helped to lead the application architecture team in Accenture's next generation technology group known as "Project Eagle." Eric is a graduate of Princeton University. See his full bio here.
