The Chicago Booth Private Equity Group and the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation are delighted to invite you to the 13th Annual Beecken Petty O'Keefe & Company Private Equity Conference at the Westin Chicago River North on Friday, February 21, 2014.
The Chicago Booth Private Equity Conference is one of the premier private equity conferences in the country. Each year, it brings together industry professionals, entrepreneurs, and academic thought leaders to network and share insights from both the private equity marketplace and academia. Launched in 2002, the conference allows private equity professionals, limited partners, financing sources, and investment bankers to establish and continue a dialogue with peers in the industry, promote their work, and grow their networks. Last year's conference was the largest yet, drawing professionals from over 100 firms and approximately 400 attendees.
This year's conference is themed "Digging in: Driving Returns in Competitive Markets" and will feature keynote speakers Bill Conway, ’74, cofounder and managing director of the Carlyle Group, and Antonio Gracias, CEO and CIO of Valor Equity Partners and lead director of Tesla. The event will also include a plenary session with Karen Katz, CEO of Neiman Marcus, and Kewsong Lee, former managing director of Warburg Pincus, to discuss the company’s recent $6 billion sale. Panel topics from prior years have included: Fundraising, Creating Value through Active Ownership and Operational Improvement, Beyond Traditional Exit Strategies, Creative Deal Structuring, and more.
