The Associate Board for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Cook County

Proudly presents the annual Chicago Blackhawks outing!

About CASA of Cook County:

There are approximately 5,800 children in the child protection system in Cook County.  CASA of Cook County is only able to serve 8% of this population. CASA volunteers are ordinary people who share an extraordinary commitment to speak up for abused and neglected children within the child protection system. CASA of Cook County is the only agency in Cook County that does what we do. That is why your support is so critical.

Your attendance or purchase of raffle tickets on October 12th will make an impact NOW. Your financial support will affect long term change because children assigned to a CASA volunteer receive more services and support systems than those without volunteers and are 95% less likely to reenter the child protection system.

About CASA of Cook County

Foster care should be temporary—Not a way of life.
For over 25 years, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Cook County has been training everyday people to stand up for abused and neglected children in an overwhelmed and extremely under-resourced foster care system. Without a helping hand from CASA of Cook County Advocates, these children might fall through the cracks and never be given an opportunity to find a place to call home.

Our Mission
CASA of Cook County speaks up in court for abused and neglected children and ensures that children live in safe, permanent homes. CASA of Cook County’s trained volunteers research cases and provide valuable information to the court. Judges rely on this additional information to make the best decisions about children’s futures. CASA dedicates one volunteer advocate to champion one child; ensuring that the child’s voice is present in court even if the child is not.

Vision Statement
CASA of Cook County’s vision is to protect abused and neglected children by providing them a voice in court, a safe and permanent home, and an opportunity to grow, learn and thrive. Through caring and dedicated volunteers, CASA will advocate for all children in need, will generate awareness of their plight, and will cultivate strong partnerships with individuals and organizations committed to bettering the lives of abused and neglected children. We will do this with integrity, compassion and devotion to our children.
