Please join the Chicago entrepreneur and investor communities as an independent team of 20 students and researchers from the University of Illinois present 9 months of research on creating and sustaining a vibrant tech cluster in health, agriculture, and manufacturing innovation, along with research on talent attraction and retention for Chicago and the Great Lakes Region.
Included will be results of a survey of students regarding their perspectives on innovation, startups, and the Midwest, together with the trends gleaned from interviews with 80+ industry executives, entrepreneurs, and investors. The team will address implications specific to turning Chicago into the hub innovation for the Midwest, with specific recommendations for industry and university collaborations.

The Midwest Technology Cluster Research Group is comprised of 20 independent undergraduate and graduate student researchers from disciplines including business, engineering, agriculture, biotechnology, applied health sciences, and public policy. Their work centers around turning the Midwest into a hub of innovation between universities, industry, and startups.
