San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Three Sessions: Saturdays, February 1, 8, and 15 from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Beginner/intermediate level sewists are invited to join Betty Nowak in making this modern 56" x 68" chevron quilt. Students will receive instruction about designing and piecing the top as well as backing, quilting, and binding the quilt.
In addition to the series fee, students will need to purchase/provide enough fabric for 8 nine-inch squares in five different color-ways (40 squares total; some squares may be repeated). Students will also need 2 and 1/2 yards of background fabric such as the white pictured above, 4 yards of backing fabric (or less if piecing part of the back from leftover front fabric), 72" x 60" quilt batting, 1/2 yard of fabric for the binding, and neutral thread for piecing. Bringing labeled sewing supplies such as scissors, rotary cutters, rulers, and the like will cut down on waiting time for use of common classroom supplies. All supplies are available at Sew Memphis at a 10% class discount.
Bring your own machine or sign up early to rent one of four shop machines.
