Celebrating Sacramento's recent naming as the Nation's Farm-to-Fork Capitol, Chef Christopher Kostow and Michael Passmore thought what better way to highlight this, than to serve dinner, right on the farm!
This very special evening will include Chef Kostow and his team from The Restaurant at Meadowood serving a six course dinner, paired with wine from Skinner, in the intimate setting of Passmore Ranch's kitchen where you'll be able to closely observe and intereact with both Chef Kostow and Michael Passmore as the meal is prepared and served. With just 12 seats for this exclusive dinner, you can expect to feel right at home for a ranch meal, albeit one prepared by a Michelin Guide 3 star chef and James Beard awardee!
Never before has a dinner, such as this, happened here in the Sacramento Valley. Michael and Chef Kostow's relationship was forged over their quest to rear and serve (respectively) the best possible example of white sturgeon to the diner. It was through this relationship and each's focus on locality that this special dinner was born. When Michael reached out to Christopher to ask if he'd come over to cook for Sacramento, the answer was a resounding, "Yes!". Chef Kostow is not only a staunch advocate of his own community, but of his purveyors and their communities as well. We hope you will join us for this very special evening.
All profits will go to Passmore Ranch's local FFA chapter at Pleasant Grove High School, to support their endeavors to develop future farmers and ranchers.
Please note: Passmore Ranch is a working ranch. Please come dressed comfortably as you may wish to see and visit our resident sturgeon, chickens, ducks, goats, and of course, the donkey. We enjoy a relaxed lifestyle here on the ranch and hope that you will to. So, come as you are, wear what you wish, and expect to have a terrific meal with friends (new and old) seated around our ranch kitchen's table.
