We are now offering tours of our production facility and guided tasting every Monday - Friday at 11 am.
You will be able to watch as our chocolatiers are in production in our kitchen, observe various chocolates being made and learn how hand-crafted, artisan chocolates and confections are made at Charles Chocolates--all while sampling 5 different chocolates and the hot chocolate that we make. The tour will end with an interactive questions and answer session.
While you won't be able to walk through our kitchen (for health and safety reasons), you will gain a much more comprehensive view of all the different processes that occur to make one piece of chocolate.

In 1987 at the age of 25, Chuck Siegel began crafting premium chocolates, dedicating every day to perfecting his craft; he opened his first Charles Chocolates boutique in Emeryville in 2004. In the decade since, the chocolatier has earned a number of accolades, including a “Best of the West Award” from Sunset magazine, Editor's Pick from 7x7 magazine and a 2011 Good Food Award.
Earlier this year, Charles Chocolates moved to a brand-new facility in the bustling Mission District. Loyal fans appreciate the range of classic confections, from chocolate bars to classic truffles, as well as Siegel’s deliciously edible chocolate boxes. As at the original Emeryville location, the new workshop on Florida Street also offers tours, allowing chocolate lovers to get up close and personal with their favorite sweets.
