Title: Overview of changes made by the 2014 revisions of the New York City Construction Codes to Chapter 33 of the New York City Building Code.

Description: This training, conducted by the New York City Department of Buildings, will provide an overview of changes made by the 2014 revisions of the New York City Construction Codes to Chapter 33 of the New York City Building Code.  Topics to be covered include excavations, demolition, site housekeeping, concrete formwork safety, sidewalk sheds, safety nets, adjoining property protection, site safety at major buildings, rigging, and scaffold safety.

Kindly register for one seminar only as the subject matter is the same for each event.

Times:

For both dates, the doors will open at 9am, the event will run from 9:30am to 12:30pm.

Seating:

300 seats for each event to be made available to the public.

The training is not eligible for continuing education credit.

In addition to Code and Zoning compliance review, emergency response and professional analysis of accidents to prevent future incidents, the Department has strengthened its education and outreach programs to provide the construction industry, property owners and tenants with a heightened understanding of safety awareness.


The Department is committed to providing efficient service to all New Yorkers by continuously assessing the equitable distribution of resources to meet the safety and permitting needs of residents across all five boroughs; enhancing the quality of life for all New Yorkers and making our City safer.
