Champagne and Coding: A Celebration of Women in Engineering
Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM (PST)
Los Angeles, CA
International Women's Day, a celebration of women's economic, political, and social achievements, is a special day for Google because of the incredible contributions women have made to technology -- from Ada Lovelace to Anita Borg. Our technology gets better when we have a diversity of perspectives, ideas, and cultures included. We strive to create the most inclusive workforce on the planet, and by encouraging our Googlers to be themselves and supporting them in their interests and passions, we’re able to do cool things that matter.
We look forward to welcoming members of the LA community to the local Google office to highlight women's achievements in technology. The event will feature a technical panel, followed by poster sessions and networking. We'll celebrate the evening with champagne and light hors d'oeuvres.
