Chamber Music Palisades, Susan Greenberg, flute; Jonathan Davis, oboe; Amanda McIntosh, clarinet; Carolyn Beck, bassoon. Featuring new work by Cuban composer (and Angeleno) Yalil Guerra. The 2012 Latin Grammy winner will be present to say a few words after the world premiere of the final movement of his new trio.

Bassoonist Carolyn Beck has been described as “a fearless player… as well as a musician with a keen sense of phrasing and color.” (Gramophone) She is the Principal Bassoonist with the Redlands Symphony and the San Bernardino Symphony, and performs with other orchestras, early music groups, and studio orchestras in the Los Angeles area. Dr. Beck is currently the adjunct bassoon teacher at the University of Redlands, California State University Northridge, Pomona College, and Idyllwild Arts Academy. She also performs frequently with chamber ensembles and is an advocate of new music. Her solo CD “Beck and Call” is available on Crystal Records. She was formerly principal bassoonist of the Buffalo Philharmonic and the Orchesta Sinfonica del Principado de Asturias in Spain.

Getting Here: The Beach House is located at 415 Pacific Coast Highway, Santa Monica, CA 90402 on the west side of Pacific Coast Highway. Enter off PCH at the Beach House Way traffic light.
Parking: May-September the parking rate is $3/hr & $12/day at the park and pay machines available in three areas of the ACBH parking lot. Machines take cards and cash. Handicapped placards and Senior Beach Permits are accepted. For updated parking info and lot hours, please check the website for details.

Please note that there is bike parking available onsite - bring a lock. Car parking is available and rates vary from weekdays to weekends and season to season.
Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the event; reservations are released then and late seating is not guaranteed. Although Eventbrite's automatic email encourages you to print your ticket out, at this time we only require you to give your last name at the door. If an event is at capacity, we will generally open a waitlist online and you can sign up. We will not contact you; just plan to arrive by 15 minutes prior to the event and we will assess unclaimed reservations then.
