Join Code for America for an evening of conversation and networking with author Daniel Suarez. Suarez, author of New York Times best seller Daemon, and most recently Kill Decision.
What does science fiction have to do with Code for America? In his books, Suarez takes the themes emerging from today's technological advances -- ranging from drones and sensors to the web itself -- and imagines compelling, striking, and instructive realities, which we should all consider and grapple with.
Daniel Suarez has designed and developed mission-critical software for the defense, finance, and entertainment industries.
About CfA Salons
This event is the third in the CfA Salon Speaker Series. Every month, Code for America will invite thought leaders from government and technology from around the world to share their insights and vision for where we are and where we're heading as a society. Topics will range, as will the formats. Yet, each event promises to be a thought-provoking, intimate, and fun discussion.
Doors open to public at 6:00, and the program begins at 6:30, followed by a casual reception.
We charge $10 per ticket to cover our costs for the event and offer light snacks, beer, and wine. Donations of any amount great than $10 are tax-deductible contributions to Code for America, a 501(c)(3).

Code for America
Founded in 2009, Code for America (CfA) is a national nonprofit that partners with local governments and citizens to foster civic innovation. By working to reinvigorate civic participation, accelerate the civic startup marketplace, facilitate collaboration between government leaders, and build new tools that enhance and strengthen communities, CfA is helping governments solve old problems in new ways. CfA is working towards a government by the people, for the people, that works in the 21st Century.
