ABOUT | Ceviche Project founder Octavio Olivas hails from Mexico where as a child he fished and found inspiration for preparing a fresh and simple citrus-marinated-fish using the catch of the day. Today, Ceviche Project has evolved into a pop-up restaurant concept that brings new people together each and every time to share new tastes in a communal, one-of-a-kind dining experience.

Octavio was born in Mexico City and his love for the cuisine started when his parents introduced him to the sea at a very young age. His dad used to take him fishing in Mexico and together they would prepare a fresh and simple citrus-marinated-fish using the catch of the day. Since then, Octavio has lived in New York, London and Los Angeles ... tasting Ceviche in as many places and as often as he can. Today, CEVICHE PROJECT is a Los Angeles-based pop-up concept that aims to bring together family, friends, music and new tastes in a communal and one-of-a-kind dining experience. In June of 2014, CEVICHE PROJECT won awards for “Best In Show” and “Best Nouveau Street Food” at the Fifth Annual Los Angeles Street Food Festival. CEVICHE PROJECT has been featured in Los Angeles Confidential, Angeleno, California Style, Elle, Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Weekly, Los Angeles Canvas, Huffington Post, Zagat, Eater, Tasting Table and The Latin Kitchen, among other publications.
