Al Ritter will speak on how he started and grew his consulting business, and lead a discussion titled The Best Leaders are Servant Leaders. In this interactive talk, through personal and client real life experiences, Al enables the audience to clearly understand and take action on the components of great leadership. The big mistake many leaders make is having a single-minded drive for results, which tends to damage their relationships and thereby to severely compromise the very results they want. Servant Leadership is so powerful because it embraces the two key components of success—results and relationships. For most of us, our biggest area for improvement lies in the second “r”---our ability to create great relationships. Relationships are important for everyone, and are particularly important for business owners, where our success or failure is often determined by our relationships with referral sources, prospects, clients and other business people.
Al is president of the Ritter Consulting Group. He is a leadership coach, professional speaker, and the author of two best-selling books on leadership: The 100/0 Principle and Life is a Paradox. Al has consulted for the past 22 years with thousands of leaders across many industries in both theU.S. and overseas. He works with CEOs, other leaders and teams committed to achieving breakthrough results. Before starting his own firm, Al worked for Accenture, where he was recognized as that firm’s resident expert in leadership development, team building and strategy implementation. Previously he was a senior vice president for Citigroup, chief financial officer for Swift & Company and held several leadership roles with PepsiCo.
