Friday, May 31, 2013 from 12:00 AM to 11:55 PM (PDT)
Welcome to the Second Annual Central Coast Wine Day
#CCWineDay follows in the footsteps of #VarietalDay's that have been going on for over 3.5 years. The focus of this day is the wines that make the Central Coast so great! From Santa Barbara, Paso Robles & Monterey. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Grenache, Syrah and many others thrive in this region. We are hosting tastings and tweetups at many locations within the Central Coast and across the world. Below are some of the wineries participating. All you need to participate is a bottle of wine from anywhere in the Central Coast and a twitter handle or Google+ account. Tell us your thoughts and follow along using the #CCWineDay hashtag. If you are winery, restaurant or venue and want to get involved contact me on twitter via @spiritandwine or email at firstname.lastname@example.org and become a co-sponsor. Check back as this page will be updated Daily with new wineries and locations to participate with others.
There will be tasting & tweeting at locations in Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo, Carmel, Arroyo Grande and various other wineries and restaurants. Let's continue to help define this region for others who aren't familiar. Ready your stories and let's share!
Napa will host an intimate tasting of several wines and tweeting at Quent Cordair Fine Art Gallery in Napa from 5-7:00pm.

When & Where
I have been an advocate for the Central Coast wine growing region for the last 2 years while working in marketing & social media for Hahn Family Wines. It has such diversity that it is really hard to define. The Santa Lucia Highlands is famed for it's Burgundy varietals, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, while Paso Robles excels with Zinfandel, Cab, Syrah and Rhone Varietals and San Luis Obispo with more Pinot. I created Central Coast Wine Day #CCWineDay in 2012 to help showcase what micro-climates exist in areas like Temecula, Arroyo Grande and others. This is a world-class wine growing region that has become popular in Europe and Canada. Hahn, Talbott and Paraiso has been a leading proponent in the SLH and Monterey County and by celebrating the whole region we help educate consumers and the trade about this very special place.
