April is the Month of the Military Child!
Join us as we celebrate our nation’s youngest heroes.
Saturday, April 6, Blue Star Families MilKidz Club, The Sierra Club, National Military Family Association, Children & Nature Network, the U.S. Forest Service, Outdoors Alliance for Kids, and other local partners join forces to connect military children with the outdoors. Together, we will honor their sacrifices as we explore and enjoy the lands they and their parents serve to protect. Activities include hikes, an introduction to fly fishing, bird of prey demonstration, tent races, and more!
Please note: This is a family event. Parents/guardians must accompany minors. A waiver will be provided at the on-site check-in table.
NOTE: Military families MUST present a Common Access Card (CAC) or a Military ID (Form 1173) at the entrance, otherwise a fee will be charged - $5 per car. The pass gives active duty military and their dependents access to all federal recreation lands for free for one year.
