Join us as we celebrate our nation’s youngest heroes at the Celebration of the Military Child Outdoors.
On Saturday, July 27, the Sierra Club and Blue Star Families will be hosting the Colorado Celebration of the Military Child Outdoors at Cheyenne Mountain State Park near Fort Carson, Colo. Join us for a day outside with free activities for the entire family including guided hikes, educational nature walks, geocaching, a disaster readiness scavenger hunt, and other games. Connect with military, family and outdoor organizations that will provide a variety of ways for military families to learn about ways to get out and enjoy the great outdoors in Colorado. This event is open to all Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard, Veterans and their families
Please note: This is a family event. Parents/guardians must accompany minors. A waiver will be provided at the on-site check-in table.

Blue Star Families
Blue Star Families is a national, nonprofit network of military families from all ranks and services, including guard and reserve, with a mission to support, connect and empower military families. In addition to morale and empowerment programs, Blue Star Families raises awareness of the challenges and strengths of military family life and works to make military life more sustainable. Membership includes military spouses, children and parents as well as service members, veterans and civilians.The MilKidz Club connects military kids and provides them the resources, mentoring and opportunity to become the next wave of leaders in their communities.
